IT ALL BEGAN IN MY BIOLOGY CLASSROOM...

We had to cover our books with construction paper or the like. Then, I started drawing cells doing things that cells wouldn't normally do. Speak, think, communicate, and scream (only for one though). AKA I personified them. I covered the book with these drawings and added situations that may be actually pretty common to biology. I later got the idea to use them to create a website in order to satisfy a requirement for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. Thus CELLZ WAS BORN!

THE STORY OF CELLZ!

As you probably tell, the cells of Cellz aren't normal cells. They cannot be classifed as bacterial, prokaryotic, eukaryotic, animal, or plant. So what are they? Scientists at an unknown institute have made a breakthrough... cells that can talk and act like people do. Also, these cells are unlike any other cells the world has ever seen. Pretty much, the world of Cellz takes place on a single agar plate (unless they are being experimented on, then slides, other plates, and bodies are fair game).

WHO AM I?

I'm just a High School student at an IB World School that focuses on Biology. Despite being a lover of all things Physics, I have always found cells very very very interesting. I mean, they are about a hundred-thousandth of our size (or so), but they carry out all the functions of life! They metabolize! They reproduce! They interact with their surroundings! They are absolutely amazing! So, I thought, "What if they could communicate and act like us?" That idea added with my drawing abilities gave way to the creation of Cellz!
